Merry Christmas! I have only been using the app in the past, and this is frankly my first time logging into the website. I just now saw all of your posts on my whiteboard.
To answer your question, speeding 35 in a 17 ½ would fall in the 10-19 MPH over the limit (Class A Traffic Infraction). It varies from county to county (and city to city, for example, Denver is about 2x the price). In the county that I was an LEO for a little under 7 years, it would have been a $135 fine and $18.80 surcharge. Moral of the story, don't speed! We really take stuff like this seriously! I mean if I stopped someone doing 18 in a 17 ½, I think that's pretty close to warranting a trip to the clink! (/sarc)
On a more serious note, I hope God brings your family joy this Christmas season!
